Privacy policy for Nice-Boards visual planning tools

Last updated 3 November 2026. This page explains what the tools keep, what the server may record, and what you can control.

Privacy in plain words

Creative tool data

Uploaded images

The mood board maker processes uploaded images in your browser, resizes them to WebP, and stores them with the working board in browser storage on the current device. Images are sent to Nice-Boards only when a signed-in user chooses Save and creates or updates an editable dashboard copy.

Locally saved tool details

Local saving can store mood-board references and settings, a vision plan, palette roles, layout specifications, and board-size calculations. Mood-board records can include the board name, brief, uploaded references, labels, source notes, notes, text, colors, shapes, dimensions, positions, layers, and appearance. These records stay in browser storage until you explicitly save an account copy. Clearing a tool or this site’s browser data removes the local information. Export important work before clearing browser data or moving to another device.

Dashboard project files

When a signed-in user chooses Save, Nice-Boards stores the editable project data under that user’s account. The private dashboard shows the file name, type, update time, and item count. A user can download or delete each saved project. Deleting a dashboard file removes the server copy but does not automatically clear a separate browser copy on the current device.

Technical data

Web servers may record standard request data such as an IP address, requested URL, browser identifier, time, and response status. These records support security, error checks, and reliable delivery. They are not presented as a creative profile.

Google account sign-in

Information used for authentication

If you choose to create an account or log in with Google, Google provides Nice-Boards with a stable account identifier, your verified email address, display name, and optional profile image. Nice-Boards also records account creation and sign-in times. We use this information to create your account, recognize you on later visits, prevent account conflicts, and operate the signed-in experience.

What Nice-Boards does not receive

Google does not give Nice-Boards your Google password. The sign-in request is limited to the OpenID, email, and basic profile permissions shown on Google’s consent screen. Public browser-based boards remain stored on the current device unless a feature clearly says otherwise.

Account questions and deletion

You can log out from the account page. To ask about account information or request deletion, email [email protected] from the address connected to the account so we can verify the request.

Messages you send

If you email us, we receive the address and information included in your message. We use it to review and respond to the request. Do not send private or sensitive creative material unless it is needed. The Nice-Boards contact page identifies the correct address for privacy, editorial, and tool requests.

Advertising and cookies

Google advertising

When Google ads are displayed on Nice-Boards, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve, measure, and limit ads. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to select ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to Nice-Boards or other websites. Google may also receive information such as an IP address, browser details, page URL, and ad interactions as part of providing and measuring ads.

Advertising choices and consent

Visitors can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings and can learn about choices for participating third-party advertising vendors through YourAdChoices. Where consent is required, advertising cookies and personalized advertising will use an appropriate consent process. For visitors in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, personalized Google ads require a Google-certified consent management platform.

Other advertising vendors

If another advertising vendor or network is added, this policy will identify that provider and link to its privacy and opt-out information before its technology is used. Nice-Boards will not describe a vendor as active until its code has actually been enabled.

Your choices

You can clear local storage, block cookies, change advertising preferences, and delete downloaded exports through your browser or device. Blocking storage can affect saved tool details or advertising choices. The terms of use explain your responsibilities for uploaded references and exported work. Privacy questions can be sent to [email protected].
